 Just ten minutes after arriving at the famous seaside rainfanning location of Edmonds,
a northbound general fraight train came around.
BNSF 2179 (GP38X) was built June 1970. Firstly PC7854, Secondary CR7854, then BN2179.
BNSF 2710 was built April 1980 as BN2710.

It is already two hours after I captured the first train.

Southbound general freight is waiting for  Amtrak 7, "Empire Builder," at the north of Edmonds Stn.
BNSF 2273 is among the oldest units of GP38-2 in BNSF
It was built on August 1973 as SLSF418 (Frisco).

Just three minutes after arriving at Picnic Point, I heard the sound of engines.
This photo was taken from the crossover.
3146(GP50), 3017(GP40M) and 3019(GP40M) are all in grenn & white fashon.

BNSF 3017 was originally GP40 built as CB&Q623 in February 1968 then moved to BN3023.
In November 1989 it was rebuilt to BN GP40M 3518 by EMD.
Similarly, BNSF 3019 was CB&Q 634 (Feb.1968), BN3034 and then BN3520(GP40M).

I met a railfan with a scanner at the crossover. He kindly advised a southbound train is approaching.
I dushed to shore,  competing with the heritage II BNSF engines coming up.

An evening general freight enjoys scinic Posession Sound in the right.
This train will meet Amtrack 762, "Cascades" within five minutes.
